Our Emissions Control Services

AdBlue System Services

AdBlue is a vital fluid used in Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions from diesel engines. We offer:

  • AdBlue Refill: Ensuring your AdBlue tank is topped up to avoid engine performance issues.
  • System Diagnostics: Using advanced tools to diagnose and fix any issues with your AdBlue system.
  • Component Replacement: Providing high-quality replacements for worn or damaged AdBlue components.

Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Services

A well-maintained DPF is essential for capturing and storing soot and particulate matter, reducing harmful emissions. Our services include:

  • DPF Cleaning: Using advanced cleaning techniques to remove soot and restore your DPF’s efficiency.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Regular inspections and diagnostics to ensure your DPF is functioning correctly.
  • DPF Replacement: Providing reliable and regulatory-compliant DPF units for replacement when necessary.

Catalytic Converter Services

Catalytic converters are essential in minimising harmful emissions from your vehicle’s exhaust. Our services include:

  • Inspection and Testing: Verifying that your catalytic converter is working efficiently.
  • Replacement: Supplying and fitting premium catalytic converters to replace worn or faulty units.

We approach catalytic converter services on a case-by-case basis due to specific limitations.

FAQs

What are the signs that my DPF needs cleaning?

Common signs include reduced engine performance, increased fuel consumption, and warning lights on your dashboard. If you experience any of these symptoms, it’s time to get your DPF checked.

The frequency of DPF cleaning depends on your driving habits and vehicle usage. As a general rule, it’s recommended to have your DPF inspected every 6 to 12 months.

While there are DIY cleaning products available, it’s best to have your DPF cleaned by professionals to ensure thorough and effective results.

Neglecting DPF maintenance can lead to severe engine damage, decreased performance, and increased emissions. Regular maintenance is essential to avoid costly repairs and replacements.

Many diesel models built from 2015 onwards (i.e. ones that conform to the Euro 6 emissions standard) require the use of AdBlue. Automotive manufacturers that use AdBlue include Audi, BMW, Citroen, DS, Jaguar, Land Rover, Peugeot, Mercedes-Benz, Renault and Volkswagen.

All diesels built from 2009 onwards will have a DPF, and some diesels built before this will have one as well.

a liquid is added to the exhaust system and is burnt off, this is called re-generation. Here is a video to best explain how this happens.
