Use Your Service Plan at Fangio Auto

A service plan pays for your car's scheduled maintenance, and you do not have to take the car back to the dealer to use it. Bring it to Fangio Auto in Randburg or Hermanus: we quote the service that is due, send the paperwork to your plan provider, and once they approve it we do the work and settle with them directly.

How It Works

How a Service Plan Claim Works at Fangio Auto

You send us four things. We do the rest, and nothing happens until your plan provider has approved it.

Manufacturer service schedule at Fangio Auto

Send Us Your Policy

A copy of your policy document or just the policy number. It tells us who to claim from and what the plan covers.

Major car service at Fangio Auto

Your Last Service Stamp

A photo of the last stamped page in your service book, so we know which service is due next and at what mileage.

Multi-point vehicle inspection at Fangio Auto

Licence Disc and Mileage

A photo of your licence disc gives us the VIN and engine number. A photo of the odometer gives us the current mileage.

Car filters and consumables at Fangio Auto

We Quote the Due Service

We work out the service your car is due, check whether your plan requires original or aftermarket parts, and price it to match.

Out-of-plan car service at Fangio Auto

Provider Authorisation

The quote and your documents go to the plan provider and we wait for their authorisation. Approval is their call, not ours.

Minor car service at Fangio Auto

Service and Settlement

Once approved, we book your car in, do the service to the manufacturer's schedule and settle directly with the provider. You pay only for anything they decline.

Plan Providers

Plans We Work With

These are the providers customers bring us most often. If yours is not listed, send the policy anyway: the process is the same for every plan, and we work with all of them until a provider declines the job.

Worth It?

Is a Service Plan Worth It?

Most people asking this are deciding whether to buy one or keep paying for one. The honest answer depends on three things.

01

If You Keep the Car

A plan spreads the cost of servicing over the months. It pays off if you keep the car for the plan's term and use every service in it. Sell early and the unused services are usually lost.

02

If It Lets You Choose the Workshop

Read the terms before you sign. Many plans let you service at an independent workshop; some are dealer-only. A plan that only pays dealer rates is worth less than one that pays for the same service anywhere.

03

If You Would Otherwise Skip Services

A skipped service is the most expensive money you never spent. If a plan is what gets your car serviced on time, it is worth it for that alone.

Got Questions?

Service Plan - FAQs

Do you sell service plans?

No. Fangio Auto does not sell service plans, maintenance plans or warranties. We work with the insurers and plan providers that do. You bring the cover, we do the service and claim from them.

Can I use my service plan at an independent workshop?

Usually, but your plan's terms decide. Many plans pay for the scheduled service at any workshop that follows the manufacturer's schedule and fits the parts the plan specifies. Some are dealer-only. Send us the policy and we will tell you what it allows before you commit to anything.

What is the difference between a service plan and a warranty?

A service plan covers scheduled maintenance: your service is due and the plan pays for it. A warranty covers something that breaks. They are two separate products, often from two separate providers, and we handle both.

What if the plan does not cover everything?

Plans usually cover the scheduled service items. Brake pads, tyres, wipers and repairs found during the service are often excluded. We tell you what the provider has approved before we start, and quote anything outside it separately. You decide.

How long does authorisation take?

It depends on the provider. Some approve the same day, others take a few working days. We chase it and keep you informed. The car is only booked in once the approval is through, so you are never left waiting at the workshop.

Which branch can I use?

Either. Randburg serves Johannesburg and surrounds, Hermanus serves the Overberg and Garden Route. Pick your nearest branch on the contact page and attach your documents.
