How long does a clutch last?
It depends heavily on driving style and conditions, but many clutches last well over 100,000 km. Stop-start city traffic and towing wear them faster. If yours is slipping or dragging, it is worth checking regardless of mileage.
Should the flywheel be replaced with the clutch?
Not always, but it should always be inspected. If the flywheel is scored or a dual-mass unit is worn, replacing the clutch without addressing it can cause the new clutch to fail early. We advise based on its condition.
My clutch pedal feels different. Is it the clutch or the hydraulics?
It can be either. A spongy or sinking pedal often points to a slave or master cylinder, while slipping usually means the clutch itself. A proper inspection tells us which, so you only replace what is needed.
Will a clutch replacement affect my service plan or warranty?
No. A clutch is a wear-and-tear repair. We fit correct-spec parts and keep proper records, so your plan and warranty stay intact under right-to-repair rules.
