Toyota service intervals
The GD-6 diesel Hilux and Fortuner are usually on a 10,000 km or 12-month service interval. Petrol models such as the Corolla, Corolla Cross, Starlet and Urban Cruiser are often on 15,000 km or 12 months.
Intervals change by engine and model year, so we check your service book before booking. Bakkies that tow, carry heavy loads or drive gravel roads are worth servicing on the short side.
GD-6 diesels and short trips
The diesel particulate filter (DPF) on the 2.4 and 2.8 GD-6 cleans itself on longer, faster drives. A Hilux or Fortuner used mostly for school runs and short city trips does not get hot enough, and the filter slowly blocks.
Early signs are a DPF warning light, more frequent regeneration and a loss of power. We read the soot level, run a forced regeneration when it is safe to, and find the cause, whether that is driving pattern, injectors or a sensor.
Bakkies that work for a living
A Hilux that tows a boat, carries tools every day or spends weekends on gravel wears its suspension, brakes, wheel bearings and diff oil faster than one that stays in town. We check these at every service and tell you what is close to its limit, so you can plan the cost instead of being surprised by it.
Corolla Cross hybrid
The hybrid Corolla Cross still needs regular oil, filter, brake and coolant work. We service it to Toyota's schedule and check the hybrid cooling system and the 12V battery, which can cause no-start faults when it weakens.

Do you do DPF cleaning on the Hilux and Fortuner?
Yes. DPF blockage is common on GD-6 diesels driven mostly on short city trips. We do forced regenerations, cleaning and replacements.
How often should a Corolla Cross be serviced?
Most Corolla Cross models are on a 15,000 km or 12-month interval, whichever comes first. Check your service book, or send us the model and year and we will confirm.
What does a Toyota major service include?
Everything in a minor service (oil, filter, fluids and a safety inspection) plus the items due at that mileage, such as air and cabin filters, spark plugs or fuel filter, brake fluid and coolant. We quote before we start.
Do you service Hilux bakkies used for towing or off-road?
Yes. We check suspension, brakes, wheel bearings and diff oil at every service on working bakkies, and tell you what is close to needing replacement.

Yes. We service to spec and quote up front before work starts.
